Young American Talents Shine Bright in MLS NEXT Pro
Young talents continue to make waves in MLS NEXT Pro, while two dual nationals make a pair of big career moves 👀
Nimfasha Berchimas shone in the game between Crown Legacy FC and Chicago Fire II, where the 16 year old scored a brace and delivered an impressive performance. Berchimas recently scored in the MLS NEXT CUP semifinal to send Charlotte FC to the final, and continued his strong run of form with a great performance for Crowne Legacy last night.
Ruben Ramos also found the net this weekend in the game between Ventura County and The Town FC. Ramos, who was a key player for the LA Galaxy Academy at MLS NEXT Cup, scored 8 goals as his team went on to win the tournament and opened the scoring for Ventura County with a goal in the 8th minute to continue his fine run of form.
Prince Forfor, born in 2009, made his debut in the match between New York Red Bulls II and Columbus Crew 2. The young left-back came on in the 86th minute, thus becoming the fifth player born in 2009 to make his professional debut so far this season.
The 2009-born winger, Mattheo Dimareli, shone once again in the match between Minnesota United 2 and Houston Dynamo 2. Dimareli assisted in the first goal, earning his second consecutive professional game with an assist.
Santi Morales scored in the match between Inter Miami 2 and Atlanta United 2. The attacking midfielder opened the scoring in the 4th minute and completed 84 minutes on the field in the teams 4-1 win.
Dual-national Decarlo Guerra scored his first professional goal in the 92nd minute, securing a 3-2 victory for LAFC 2 over Colorado Rapids 2. The defensive midfielder brilliantly executed his penalty, and clinched a crucial victory for Los Angeles FC 2.
Elite soccer players spend 2-3 hours per day, 18 hours per week, and 648+ hours a year in their cleats. That is a very substantial amount of time in a tight, pressure-inducing piece of footwear directly under your most valuable assets as a soccer player. CURREX CleatPRO, the global number one after-market insole for soccer players, is scientifically proven to reduce pressure, decrease fatigue and aid performance.
It’s no secret that soccer cleats often lack adequate arch support or cushioning, which makes them uncomfortable and unsupportive. The CURREX CleatPro insoles improve both the fit and feel for all soccer boots, keeping you comfortable at all times. The CleatPRO is highly customizable with three dynamic arch profiles (High, Medium and Low) to provide the best support to your foot through, a decoupled heel for supreme fit, and Super-Grip slip strips to help deliver ultimate ball control.
One of the most important things as an athlete that you can invest in is injury prevention. With three different arch profiles, the insoles allow for anatomic support, dynamic stability and less fatigue. The CURREX CleatPRO insoles are game changers for footballers!
Jordyn Eason Called Up to Mexico U-16 National Team
Last Friday, the Mexico U-16 national team roster for a domestic camp in Mexico City was announced. With the aim of expanding the current player pool, coach Omar Tapia called up FC Dallas academy forward Jordyn Eason for the first time. Eason has been one of the standout players this season for his team.
The California native joined from the Los Angeles FC academy and had an immediate impact on his new team thanks to his ball-handling skills from the wing and his direct offensive play.
Jordyn Eason (2009) has been called up to the Mexico U-16 team. He is a fast winger with excellent 1v1 dribbling skills and a direct focus on offense. I believe is a underrated player and was one of the most outstanding players for the FC Dallas U-15 team this season.

Jordyn Eason had previously participated in regional and national identification camps for the United States, but this time, due to his family ties, he has the opportunity to represent Mexico for the first time.
Alex Smith Signs First Pro Contract with Rangers
Alex Smith has signed a new contract with Rangers over in Scotland after a ton of clubs expressed interest in Smith’s services this summer.
The 16-year-old attacking midfielder was attracting attention in England, with Arsenal being one of the main teams hoping to sign him. There was also interest from MLS teams, offering the young player the possibility of returning to the United States. However, the prestigious youngster has committed his future to the Scottish giant, Rangers.
Rangers would have been entitled to a six-figure compensation, but Smith opted to sign his first professional contract with them. Arsenal had been monitoring him for some time.
This highly rated left-footer has dual Scottish and American nationality and has been part of both national youth teams. He is notably valued by the Scottish Football Association, where he has even captained Scotland’s youth teams on numerous occasions.
He has also represented the United States U-15 team in the past when he was invited to a domestic camp in Florida, playing some games against local teams.
