2023 U-17 AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS
The U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a biennial international youth football tournament for players aged 17 and below, is set to commence as its 15th edition. Algeria has been confirmed as the host nation for the competition, following a decision made in May 2021.
Notably, this will be the second edition of the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations to have expanded to twelve teams, up from the previous eight. The top four teams of the tournament will qualify as the CAF representatives for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru.
The AFCON tournament will be held from April 29 to May 19.
