Sunday marked a pivotal day for numerous promising young prospects across the nation, showcasing their debuts, assists, and goals, signifying noteworthy developments in their burgeoning careers.
Prodigy in Progress: 14-Year-Old Phenom Ascends Through the Ranks

Notably, Sunday witnessed the debut of prodigious talent Cavan Sullivan with Philadelphia Union II, where he delivered a crucial assist contributing to Philadelphia Union II's triumph over New England Revolution II. Despite only being the age of 14, Sullivan exhibited remarkable prowess upon entering the 58th minute, replacing Alex Perez. His immediate impact on the field underscored his exceptional aptitude and understanding of the game, notably demonstrated through a precision pass to Sal Olivas in the 81st minute, facilitating Olivas' inaugural goal of the season. Sullivan's earlier commendable performances during the preseason, along with his professional demeanor and stellar training displays, distinguished him as the third player born in 2009 to officially debut and the first to register an assist in a professional fixture.
In addition to the great performance of Cavan Sullivan, Jamir Johnson, Kellan LeBlanc and Diego Rocio made their professional debuts. Cristiano Oliveira, for his part, started for New England Revolution II.
Other great prospects in the country had a great impact yesterday. Nimfasha Berchimas started and scored his first goal of the season in a 3-3 draw against Columbus Crew 2. The young forward had an outstanding game and after being part of the bench the previous day with Charlotte FC, he managed to start with Crown Legacy and score in the 29th minute. With this score, Berchimas scores his second goal and his first this season as a professional in nine games played. In that game he also had the outstanding performance of Chase Adams, another young player born in 2008 who had debuted last weekend. Adams scored his first professional goal in the 43rd minute of the first half.

Julian Hall had a weekend to remember. On Saturday he managed to get his first minutes with the first team this season. In the New York Red Bulls vs Inter Miami game, Julian Hall entered in the 78th minute replacing Dante Vanzeir. One day later and on his birthday, in the MLS Next Pro reserve game between New York Red Bulls II and Inter Miami II, Julian Hall started and scored his first goal of the season in the 7th minute. Hall was replaced at minute 82 and was one of the most outstanding players of the game.
On Friday, in the first game of the day, young prospect Justin Ellis, born in 2007, scored his first professional goal in Orlando City B's 1-1 draw against Huntsville City.

Thrilling MLS NEXT Weekend Wrap-Up
The weekend had some great games to watch. Philadelphia Union and Atlanta United gave rise to one of the most attractive games of the weekend. Philadelphia Union vs Atlanta United U-17 tied 1-1 in a game with many chances and great dynamism. Owanja Medard opened the scoring for Atlanta United in the 34th minute of the game with an absolute great bicycle goal and at the end of the game, in the 79th minute Zachary Greer equalized the score for Philadelphia Union. With this result Philadelphia Union U-17 continues with an impressive season in which they only lost one game against New York Red Bulls in the first game of the year.

D.C. United and Orlando City played one of the best games of the weekend. D.C. United managed to beat Orlando City 3-1 in the U-17 age group. Aiden Zarate opened the scoring in the 28th minute and in the 45th minute Rayyan Firdawcy made it 2-0 for D.C. United. Already in the second half, the young international with Puerto Rico U-15 Xzavier Colon made it 2-1 and in the 90th minute Nelson Hernandez made the final score 3-1. Orlando City U-15 managed to beat D.C. 3-0. United. Tanner Miller scored a brace and Mattew Belgodere scored the remaining goal.
Atlanta United U-15 managed to beat Philadelphia Union 1-0 after the score of the young player born in 2010 Kai Martinez. After the result, Atlanta United managed to recover from their last game against Charlotte FC where they had been defeated 4-1.

Real Salt Lake managed to beat Portland Timbers U-15 3-2. Van Parker opened the scoring and Javier Martinez scored a brace in the first half. Francisco Sillas scored both goals for Portland Timbers but the visiting team could not reverse the score.
The Texan derby was with a victory for each team. Houston Dynamo U-17 managed to beat FC Dallas 2-1. Jamaican Jahamani Bell opened the scoring and Jorge Estrada made it 2-0 for Houston Dynamo. Marlon Luccin discounted for FC Dallas. FC Dallas managed to beat Houston Dynamo U-15 5-2. Christopher Cook scored a brace, Jordyn Eason, Ethan Kurpiewski and Diego Echavarria scored for FC Dallas. Lukas Bruegmann and Zachary White scored for Houston Dynamo.
McFarlane’s Milestone: A Breakthrough in International Football

Young prospect Christian McFarlane scored his first international goal on Saturday in England's 5-0 victory over Hungary. McFarlane started and completed the full 90 minutes of play. In the 67th minute, he netted a goal, extending England's lead to 4-0 in the match against the Hungarian youth team. With this result, England now shares the top spot with France, both teams having accumulated 6 points.
Next Tuesday the 26th, England and France will decide the group in which the first will qualify for the U-17 European Championship and the second will have a chance to qualify as best second.
