NEW USL AND MLS PRO SIGNINGS

JONATHAN SHORE OF NYCFC

We have seen several signings in the last week, including Jonathan Shore (15) who has signed a homegrown contract with NYCFC, Bryan Destin and Tyler Hall who have signed contracts with MLS NEXT Pro side Inter Miami II, and USYNT standout Nathan Worth (16) who has left New York Red Bulls and signed with Tulsa FC.

On March 16th, Jonathan Shore signed a homegrown contract, becoming NYCFC's 11th homegrown signing to date. Jonathan joined the NYCFC academy in 2017, having previously played for Manhattan Kickers, and worked his way up through the youth system to the professional level, playing for NYCFC II and now the NYCFC First team. The youngster signs a contract through 2027 with an option for 2028.

Bryan Destin and Tyler Hall have been a standout players in the Inter Miami academy in recent years, and their talents have been recognized with new contracts for Inter Miami's II team. Both 17 year olds recently played a crucial role at the U17 Concacaf Championships, with Destin starting in three out of four matches and Tyler Hall being the captain of the US national team. Both players have already made their professional debuts for Inter Miami II in 2022, and will be looking to build on that experience this year.

Nathan Worth has left New York Red Bulls after being a part of their academy and USL side for several years. Representing the US at the youth level and being the captain for the team, he’s peaked interests from teams overseas. Although the Red Bulls attempted to sign him to a homegrown deal, Worth has instead signed a two-year contract with Tulsa with the intention of moving to Europe once he turns 18.

Klapija has had major success in the last year, being called up to the Croatian National Team in December and providing two assists in a friendly against Montenegro. He was also called up to the United States Youth National Team for the first time in January, and was called up for NYCFC's first team for pre-season. The Croatian-American has been training with Dinamo Zagreb for a couple of weeks and is awaiting final negotiations to finalize a contract.
