U-17 Top Scorers Across All Competitions

As we near the conclusion of the season and prepare for the thrilling playoff stage, we have assembled a list of the U-17 level's most prolific goal scorers across various competitions. Among the notable performers are two formidable players from New England Revolution and Total Futbol Academy.

Eric Martinez and Olger Escobar have displayed exceptional prowess, collectively amassing an astonishing tally of 44 goals throughout the season. Particularly impressive is Olger's recent form, as he has showcased his scoring prowess at the U-17 Concacaf Championships and even netted a stunning goal at MLS NEXT Flex:

Moises Prado, a standout player, currently leads the country at the U-17 level with an impressive tally of 31 goals this season. His teammate, Steven Soto, also deserves recognition as he is featured on the list with 22 goals to his name. Both players will be eager to add to their goal-scoring records at the upcoming MLS NEXT Cup. In their opening match, they will face Sacramento Republic, who recently caused a significant upset by defeating the reigning MLS NEXT Cup and Generations Adidas Cup Champions, Philadelphia Union.

2023 Patterson Cup

The Patterson Cup, held last weekend, featured a remarkable lineup of teams. Fifteen MLS academies participated in this annual tournament, which encompassed three age groups: U-12, U-13, and U-14.

Atlanta United displayed an outstanding performance throughout the tournament, as all three of their teams reached the finals. Notably, their U-14 squad emerged as the champions, boasting an undefeated record of 6-0. In contrast, the other Atlanta United teams narrowly missed out on the title, falling short in the finals.

The U-12 team of Chicago Fire exhibited tremendous resilience, staging a remarkable comeback to clinch the championship, despite finishing fourth in the group stage. Houston Dynamo's U-13 squad showcased dominance in the finals, securing a convincing 4-1 victory to claim the title.
