Manchester City Doubling Down On the United States Youth Market

Manchester City are keen to bolster their ranks this January, with the English side reportedly on track to sign New York City FC left-back Christian McFarlane.
The 17-year-old defender holds dual citizenship of both the United States and England and is eligible for both senior national teams. At youth level, he has represented both countries but is yet to decide on his international future with one or the other.
McFarlane made his senior debut in 2024 and in total has made 13 appearances in all competitions for NYCFC this campaign. His longest run came during the Leagues Cup, where he started five consecutive games.
