The U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team stamped its ticket to the FIFA U-17 World Cup with a commanding 2-0 victory over Cuba in its final Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers match. The stars of the night? Chase Adams and Máximo Carrizo, who combined to seal the deal with two first-half goals.
Facing their toughest opponent yet, the young Americans were forced to break down a resilient Cuban defense. But with relentless attacks, sharp wing play, and unwavering determination, the breakthrough arrived. Adams pounced on a slick cross from Carrizo in the 23rd minute, while Jamir Johnson returned the favor in the 31st, setting up Carrizo to double the lead. The U.S. continued to dominate but was denied further goals by Cuba’s goalkeeper Leiniel Mosqueda, who delivered a heroic performance.
With this victory, the U.S. closed out the group stage with a perfect record (3W-0L-0D) and a staggering 31-0 goal differential. Now, all eyes are on Qatar, where the team will aim to make history on the world’s biggest youth stage.
